Kanha Commendation
Located at Mukki (in Balaghat District) amidst the Sal forests, the lodge is about one kilometer from Kanha National Park's Mukki entrance. The Lodge has 18 spacious twin-bedded rooms and two independent deluxe cottages, over-looking the lush green Sal forest.
Each fully furnished room has a portico canopy, with double beds and attached bathrooms with hot and cold running water. A spacious thatched dining room serving home cooked Indian food and Continental cuisines, becomes the center point of activities like campfire performances, lectures and star gazing. An occasional alarm call from the deer in the jungle , alerts you to a tiger on the prowl !
The Jungle lodge provides a professional naturalist, an extensive library with wildlife books, magazines and videos. Laundry services and recreational activities are also available - Jungle safaris in open 4x4 vehicles, bird watching , nature walks and village walks, elephant bathing by the river and visits to the weekly market and fair. Tribal dances and bar-be-que dinners around a camp fire are some of the surprises in store for you !

Those most easily spotted are TIGER, Indian hare, Indian wild dog, the Stripped Palm Squirrel, Common langur, Jackal, Wild Pig, Chital or Spotless deer, Barasingha or Swamp deer, Sambar and black Buck.
